From September 21 to 24, the sixth China-Arab Expo unfolded as a grand feast of cultural and trade exchange. **Interchange of Distinctive Goods between China and Arab Nations**
At the booth of Ningxia Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, young Chinese medicine students, adorned in traditional Hanfu attire, recited classical Chinese texts, attracting both domestic and international buyers for photo sessions. The booth became a popular spot, witnessing a continuous flow of visitors.
Chinese medicine cultural products, such as traditional herbal teas and mosquito-repelling sachets, garnered favor from both domestic and foreign buyers. Additionally, the booth featured live consultations by Chinese medicine experts. A buyer from North Africa, after observing a traditional acupuncture session, exclaimed, "Chinese medicine is truly remarkable!"
Ren Yonghong, Director of the Preventive Medicine Center at Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, shared that during the expo, a Malaysian buyer expressed interest in further collaboration, hoping to bring Chinese traditional medicine products to Malaysia. This initiative aligns with the pride in contributing to the health of citizens in Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) partner countries.
Coconut dates, representing Arabian countries and a significant export crop, attracted attention from buyers at the Saudi Arabia exhibition area, the guest of honor at this expo. Several food companies specializing in coconut date processing received considerable interest.
Abdusamad Abdulkadir, Factory Manager of Nahil Company, explained that in Arabian countries, coconut dates are known as the "desert bread," and pairing them with coffee is a daily habit for many Arabs. Abdusamad expressed his hope to introduce coconut dates to more Chinese consumers through the expo.
In addition to coconut dates, Saudi exhibitors showcased a diverse range of products. Hazem Afifi, Export Manager of a Saudi baking company, brought various flavors of traditional flatbreads to China for the first time. He enthusiastically invited buyers to taste the flatbreads while explaining their production process and nutritional value.
**Embracing Opportunities and Uncovering Cooperation Potential**
Arab countries' distinctive products gained popularity at this expo, and Chinese companies participating in the event are eager to explore the Arabian market.
In the Health and Wellness exhibition area, two buyers from Arab countries sat curiously next to an infrared moxibustion therapy machine, experiencing the therapeutic effects of infrared light combined with moxibustion. After a brief session, the buyers praised the product, expressing interest in cooperation.
The infrared moxibustion therapy machine is a new product brought by Henan Xiangyu Medical Equipment Co., Ltd. Song Wangjun, the company's representative in Ningxia, mentioned that several overseas buyers have shown significant interest and expressed intentions for collaboration during the expo. He believes that the expo platform will open up new opportunities for their products in Arab countries.
In the Digital Economy exhibition area, the booth of Yinchuan Cross-Border E-Commerce attracted considerable attention. In recent years, cross-border e-commerce in Ningxia has experienced rapid development, and the Yinchuan Cross-Border E-Commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone has been ranked as "effectively implemented" for two consecutive years in the evaluation of the Ministry of Commerce's Cross-Border E-Commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zones. This expo is expected to inject new impetus into the high-quality development of cross-border e-commerce in Ningxia.
Du Xiang, General Manager of Qitian Communication Industry (Ningxia) Co., Ltd., shared that the company has received orders from countries such as the United States this year, leveraging the fast-track development of cross-border e-commerce. He expressed confidence in the Arabian market, pointing out that Arab countries are vigorously undertaking infrastructure projects, including communication facilities, presenting a great opportunity for Chinese communication pipe enterprises. Du hopes to further expand the market in Arab countries through this exhibition.
